NILS documentation
How to install and run NILS: the engine, the desk and the assistant. It says what works today and nothing else.
NILS is three programs. The engine keeps the registry and can be used on its own from a command line. The desk is the web application over one engine. The assistant turns words into questions the engine answers.
One command installs the lot and asks what you want. This documentation covers installing and starting each part, and using the desk, section by section.
What is here
- Install and get started: one command, what it asks, and the first things to do. Start here.
- What NILS is: the three programs, and which of them you need.
- In the terminal: what the wizard does, step by step, for when you would rather do it yourself. The engine, the desk and the assistant.
- Using it: the desk's eight sections. Home and Settings (getting started, parts and updates, language models, places, backups, people), the Assistant, Query, Data (adding a dataset, reading it, pseudonymising, browsing, cohorts, clinical rows), Review (the questions, main scans, the rules, campaigns and checks), Release and Pipelines (jobs, analyses and models); who may do what is in groups and grants. On the engine: pseudonymising a dataset and the identifier map.
